9/11 survivor Dan White recounts his experience escaping the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. White, who was on the 84th floor of the South Tower for a meeting, describes hearing a loud noise, seeing papers swirl from burning floors, and deciding to evacuate with colleagues. He details the chaotic descent down the stairs, the lack of information, and the eventual realization that it was an act of terrorism. White managed to get out of the building via the mall and Church Street exit, struggled to contact his wife due to cell tower outages, and was about 16 blocks north when the South Tower collapsed. He also reflects on the 61 colleagues from Euro Brokers who did not survive.
