Nepal Tibet border flash floods
Flash floods triggered by a glacier or mudslide collapse along the Nepal-China border have caused widespread devastation. Over 1,200 people have died, and thousands remain missing, including hundreds of hydropower workers trapped in tunnels and an unknown number of Americans. Rescue and recovery efforts are ongoing.

Mother and son reunited after Nepal floods
Eight-year-old Zoyal Ghale was reunited with his mother Matimaya Tamang after being separated by flash floods in Nepal. Zoyal had taken shelter in a forest and was treated for a broken leg and cuts, while his mother searched for him. Tamang spoke to Reuters from a hospital in Kathmandu about the reunion.
