'Sacrilegious monument': Veteran SPEAKS OUT AGAINST Trump's massive 'beyond the pale' arch
Retired U.S. Army Major General Paul Eaton, a senior advisor to VoteVets, is leading a campaign to halt the construction of a proposed 250-foot triumphal arch by President Trump. The veterans group argues the arch would cast a shadow over Arlington National Cemetery, interfere with military burials, and diminish the solemn experience of visiting the memorial grounds.
The construction, projected to last three years with 20-hour weekdays, has raised concerns among military families and veterans about the desecration of hallowed ground and the disruption of funeral services.
