Gemini's Expert Intelligence feature allows users to interact with books purchased through Google Books via an AI chatbot. The integration, which uses the former NotebookLM technology, enables users to ask questions and brainstorm using the content of their ebooks. Authors must agree to the integration, and Google is offering a selection of ebooks for users to choose from.
This feature aims to add value to ebooks and demonstrate the benefits of AI, potentially easing author concerns about AI ingesting copyrighted material by showing a collaborative use case.
