UN official details aid needed after Colombia earthquake

LATEST UN official states $148 million is needed for earthquake response

María José Torres, the UN Resident Coordinator for Colombia, stated that $148 million is needed to respond to an earthquake emergency that struck the country in August. The earthquake affected 196,000 families and 331 people were reported dead. To date, $35 million has been received from international donors.
